How TeamCare Calculates Projections

Last updated: February 26, 2026

At TeamCare, we know that seeing where you’re headed is just as important as knowing where you stand today. Our projection calculations are designed to give you a real-time forecast of your month’s performance—so you can stay on track and make adjustments before the month ends.

The Core Concept

At every point in the month, we measure your current production level and project it forward based on your average daily performance so far. This means that your projection isn’t static—it updates every day as new data comes in.

Note: it doesn't necessarily matter what's "on the books" as Scheduled. Our approach is to look at what actually happened in the previous working days and expect it to continue as a trend in the future days. Scheduled production can cancel or no-show. Therefore we don't count on it. We only consider historical production as a indicator of future production.

Step-by-Step: How We Project Your Numbers

  1. Measure What’s Been Done So Far

We start by looking at your total production for the month up to today.

Example: A practice has produced $100,000 so far this month.

  2. Count the Working Days So Far

We determine how many working (open) days have passed in the month.

Example: In this case, 10 working days have been completed.

  3. Calculate Your Daily Average

We divide the total production so far by the number of working days so far.

    Example: $100,000 ÷ 10 days = $10,000 per day.

  4. Count the Remaining Working Days

We calculate how many working days are left in the month.

Example: There are 10 working days remaining.

  5. Project Forward

We multiply your average daily production by the remaining working days, then add that to your current total.

    Example: $10,000/day × 10 days remaining = $100,000 projected additional production.

    Current total ($100,000) + projected ($100,000) = $200,000 projected month total.

Why This Works

  • Real-Time Accuracy – Projections change daily as new results come in.

  • Based on Your Own History – We use your actual average pace so far, not a generic benchmark.

  • Forward-Looking Insight – You can see how likely you are to hit or exceed your monthly goals, and make course corrections early if needed.

A Note on Working Days

We only include open days (days your office is scheduled to operate) in our calculation. This means weekends, holidays, and other closures are not counted toward your pace—ensuring the projection stays realistic.

In short:

TeamCare looks at how much you’ve done, how fast you’ve done it, and how many working days are left—then forecasts where you’ll land by month’s end.
