Working the Checklists Queue

Last updated: July 22, 2026

Overview

The Checklists queue is the day-to-day working view. It shows the templates that apply to the selected period, grouped by frequency, and lets your team start and open the checklists they're responsible for.

Find it under Team Ops → Checklists.

Filters

  • Date filter (daily / weekly / monthly) — sets which period you're working. Templates are shown under DailyWeekly, and Monthly headings, each noting how long until it's due.

  • Team filter — narrows the queue to one team (Front Desk, Clinical, Hygiene, Billing) or shows All Teams. The queue defaults to your own team.

Template Cards and the Widget

Each template appears as a card tagged with its team badge and title. On the card is a small widget that reflects the checklist's state for the current period:

  • Not started yet — the widget lets you start the checklist for the period. Starting it creates the working copy and generates its items from the template.

  • Already started — the widget shows a state badge and a progress bar, plus an arrow to open the checklist and work its items.

Checklist States

The badge tells you where a checklist stands:

State

Meaning

In Progress

Started but not all items are complete, and it's not past due.

Completed

Every item has been checked off.

Expired

The due date/time has passed and the checklist wasn't completed.

Once a checklist's due date has passed, opening it switches from an editable view to a read-only record of what was and wasn't done.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does a new checklist appear? Templates show up in the queue for their frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly). A working copy for the current period is started when someone begins it, and its due date is the end of that period.

Q: Why do I only see my team's checklists? The queue defaults to your own team. Use the team filter at the top to switch to "All Teams" or another team.

Q: What does the progress bar show? The share of the checklist's items that have been completed so far.

Q: A checklist says Expired — can we still complete it? Once past its due date, the checklist becomes a read-only record of what was and wasn't done for that period. See Completing a Checklist.
