Completing a Checklist
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Overview
Opening a checklist shows its items on one side and the selected item's detail on the other. Your team checks off each task as it's done, and TeamCare records who completed it and when — so the finished checklist doubles as a record of what happened that day.
Checking Off Items
Complete each task as it's done. Completing an item stamps it with who submitted it and the time it was completed, and marks it with a green check and that person's avatar.
A checklist is complete once every item has been checked off.
Item States
Each item moves through three states:
State | Meaning |
|---|---|
Created | Not started yet. |
In Progress | Started but not yet completed. |
Completed | Checked off, with the submitter and time recorded. |
Completing an item can be undone if it was checked off by mistake, returning it to an incomplete state.
Working as a Team
More than one person can contribute to the same checklist. Everyone who completes an item (beyond the person the checklist is assigned to) is tracked as part of the checklist's contributing team, so credit is shared accurately.
After the Due Date
When a checklist's due date has passed, opening it switches from an editable view to a read-only record of what was and wasn't completed for that period. If it wasn't finished in time, it's marked Expired.
