Reviewing the Daily Opportunities Screen
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Overview
The Opportunities screen is the main Huddle view. It organizes the day's appointments by hour, so your team can work through the schedule in order and see each patient's opportunities and form status on a single card.
Find it under Team Ops → Huddle → Opportunities.
The Hourly Layout
Date filter — defaults to today. Change it to review or prepare for another day.
Hour navigation bar — a bubble for each hour that has appointments, with a count of appointments in that hour. When you're viewing today, Huddle jumps to the current hour automatically; for any other day it opens on the first hour with appointments.
Appointment cards — selecting an hour loads a card for each appointment in that hour.
Print button — produces a printer-friendly version of the huddle for the day.
If there are no appointments for the selected date or hour, Huddle shows a simple "no appointments" message instead of cards.
The Appointment Card
Each card summarizes one appointment:
Patient — name, age, and mobile number. You can click through to open the full appointment.
Appointment — time, duration, and status, plus the assigned provider and their role.
Opportunities tile — a count of "X of 3" lit opportunities, shown as chips. Lit chips are clickable; greyed chips have nothing outstanding. See The Three Opportunities.
Patient Intake Forms tile — a "X / 5 complete" progress summary. This tile appears only when Patient Forms is enabled for your practice. See Patient Forms & Consents in Huddle.
Appointments Without a Linked Patient
Opportunities and form status come from a patient record. If an appointment isn't linked to a patient, the card flags it — "Not linked to a patient" or "No patient attached" — and hides the opportunity and forms tiles, because there's no patient data to read. Link the appointment to a patient to see opportunities.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why does Huddle open on a specific hour? For today, it opens on the current hour so you're looking at what's happening now. For other days, it opens on the first hour that has appointments.
Q: An hour I expected isn't in the navigation bar. The bar only shows hours that actually have scheduled appointments. An hour with none won't appear.
Q: Can I print the huddle for the morning meeting? Yes. Use the Print button on the Opportunities screen for a printer-friendly version of the day.
Q: Why is a patient's card missing its opportunity and forms tiles? The appointment isn't linked to a patient. Link it to a patient record and the tiles will populate.
