Understanding the Queue

Last updated: July 22, 2026

The Queue is the heart of every workflow — the live list of patients who currently need outreach. Open it from Comms → Workflows → [workflow] → Queue.

What a queue row shows

Each row surfaces what you need to decide whether and how to reach out. For Hygiene Recare, a row includes:

  • Patient name with quick-info links.

  • Insurance carrier (primary/secondary).

  • Most recent prophy (last hygiene visit).

  • Hygiene HistoryPrevious Attempts (how many times you've already tried), Unscheduled Treatment dollar amount (when there is any), and Family Members.

  • contact widget on the right to log an attempt.

Other workflows show the details that matter for them — for example, a Confirmations row shows the appointment date/time and provider, the confirmation status, the patient's mobile number, previous attempts, and last-contact date.

Finding the right patients

The Queue includes a sidebar with filters, active-filter pills, and a "Showing N patients" count so you can narrow the list. A Queue / Upcoming toggle lets you switch between patients due now and outreach scheduled to come up soon. The list scrolls continuously — no paging.

How patients enter and leave the queue

Patients appear automatically when they meet the workflow's criteria (e.g. become overdue for hygiene). As soon as you log an outreach attempt, that patient is "claimed" and drops off the queue in real time — so the list always reflects who still needs attention. Depending on the outcome, the system may schedule the next attempt automatically.
