Show Rate Dashboard
Last updated: July 27, 2026
The Show Rate dashboard answers the question every practice cares about: of the patients we scheduled, how many actually showed up? It focuses on hygiene chair time and breaks the answer down by prime-time vs standard hours.
Find it under Schedule → Analytics → Show Rate (/schedule/analytics/show_rate) — it's the default page of the Analytics section.
The Three Tabs: Overall, Primetime, Standard
At the top you'll see three tabs that slice the same data by time of day:
Overall — all hours combined
Primetime — your configured high-demand morning/evening peak hours
Standard — everything outside prime time
Comparing them tells you whether your most valuable slots (prime time) are performing as well as the rest of your day.
What Each Tab Shows
Attend types
A metrics bar summarizes what happened to the appointments in the period:
Attend type | Meaning |
|---|---|
Attended | The patient showed up |
Cancelled | The appointment was cancelled |
Rescheduled | The appointment was moved |
Added | An appointment added within the period |
Show rate and fill rate
Show Rate = attended ÷ scheduled, as a percentage — the headline number.
Fill Rate = filled ÷ scheduled, shown with the subtext "{filled} of {scheduled + added}" so you can see the raw counts behind it.
💡 Tip: If your prime-time show rate is lower than standard, those premium slots are being wasted by no-shows — a good place to tighten confirmations and reminders.
Trend chart and table
A monthly Show Rate % chart plots the trend over time, and a table below breaks the numbers down period by period.
Date Ranges
Use the date control to change the window:
Daily — a single day's detail
Weekly — week-level view
Monthly — month-level trend (default)
Custom — a specific date range
If there's nothing to show for the range you pick, you'll see "No data available for the selected date range."

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How is show rate calculated? Attended appointments ÷ scheduled appointments, shown as a percentage.
Q: How is that different from fill rate on this page? Fill rate here is filled ÷ scheduled — how full the schedule was. Show rate is attended ÷ scheduled — how many of those actually came. See Scheduler Analytics: Overview for the distinction.
Q: What counts as "primetime"? The morning/evening peak hours your practice configures under Schedule → Admin → Settings → Analytics.
Q: Does this include all appointments or just hygiene? The Show Rate dashboard centers on hygiene chair time, which is the recurring, capacity-driven part of the schedule.
Q: I want raw appointment counts and a by-provider view. That's the neighboring Appointments dashboard.
