How Curve Hero Syncs with TeamCare

If your practice uses Curve Hero as its PMS, collection figures in TeamCare may look different from what you expect. This is because Curve Hero uses accrual-based accounting, while all other supported PMS types use cash-based accounting. Understanding this distinction is key to reading your analytics accurately.

What is the source of collection data?

TeamCare pulls collection data directly from your connected PMS. The way that data is recorded — and therefore what TeamCare displays — depends on the accounting method your PMS uses.

All other PMS types: Cash accounting

Revenue is recorded when payment is physically received. Collections reflect actual money collected in a given period.

Curve Hero: Accrual accounting

Revenue is recorded when it is earned (i.e. when the service is provided), regardless of when payment is received.

Why this matters for your reports

When you view the Collections report in TeamCare Analytics, the figures are sourced from Curve Hero's accrual records. This means:

  • A service completed in May but paid in June may appear in May's collection totals.

  • Comparing Curve Hero collection numbers against another location's cash-based PMS may show misleading differences.

  • Month-over-month trends may look different from a cash-flow perspective.
